It's gold in the background... The colours of this pic turned weird after scanning it. Try to picture the yellow background as gold and the colours less brownish-greyish and lighter. 
This picture I sold to an older couple. Mediums: Copics, acrylics and some watercolours.

I think this is one of my favourite drawings I seen on this page so far. I love the gold paint or ink (idk what is is in background) but it gives such a nice and atmospheric charm to the drawing. The simple and cartoonish faces are quite intereting to look at and I love their poses, simple lines and pastel colours mixed with the dark colours of the coats. I love it. It's simplicity and atmosphere is what I really adore in it.
